Almasi Collaborative Arts, Zimbabwe’s leading dramatic arts organisation, returns with the second edition of Africa Voices Now! Festival, held at the Jasen Mphepo Little Theatre in Harare from 17 October to 6 November 2026.
This year’s play lineup includes: 30 Acres by our 2026 NAMA Award-winning playwright Tatenda Mutyambizi, Shards by Cynthia Marangwanda, and Quixotic by Tawanda Vombo. Together, the three works offer a vivid and wide-ranging portrait of contemporary Zimbabwean life from land, legacy, existential crisis and youth culture.
The world premiere of 30 Acres, a play that was developed from inception by Almasi and NAMA winning wrier Tatenda Mutyambizi. 30 Acres is directed by Gideon Wabvuta, and opens Africa Voices Now! 2026 at the Jasen Mphepo Little Theatre.
Opening Night tickets are priced at $50 to mark this special event and allow supporters of the arts a chance to support the work Almasi has put into this festival from the very first night and ti support their continued programming to professionalise the industry. In support of the Walter Muparutsa Artist of Excellence Fellowship. Alamsi invites supporters of Zimbabwean theatre to an evening built around Shards by Cynthia Marangwanda, directed by Tafadzwa Bob Mutumbi, in support of the artists and programming Almasi is undertaking. Tickets are $20.
